It’s finally Election Day in America. Polls are open, and millions of voters who have not yet cast a ballot will head to their voting sites as candidates nationwide wrap up their campaigns.

Polls will start closing in states including Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky and Virginia at 7 p.m. Eastern – though because of split time zones, some in Indiana and Kentucky begin to close at 6 p.m.

The two presidential candidates and their surrogates will travel around the nation Tuesday for the final hours of campaigning. In Washington, Vice President Kamala Harris will deliver a closing argument to supporters at her alma matter, Howard University, while former president Donald Trump will address supporters in Palm Beach, Florida.

This collection of images from the final day of the campaign was captured by The Washington Post’s photographers.
