A leaked poll from a Democratic-leaning firm, the first public poll data following President Joe Biden’s disappointing performance in last week’s presidential debate, shows Biden losing support in key battleground election states and even puts a few reliable Democratic voting states in play – including New Mexico.
The poll by Democratic firm OpenLabs — first reported Tuesday by the online politics outlet Puck News and later by Bloomberg News and others — shows Biden losing support among voters in the most contested states including Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona and Nevada.
But samples of voters in reliably Democratic New Mexico also registered declining support for Biden who polled even with Trump with 40% support in the state when a third-party candidate was included.
Still, 45% of Democratic voters sampled support the president staying in the race while 40% prefer he step aside for another candidate. For his part, Biden told supporters he has no plans to withdraw as the Democratic nominee.
Also on Tuesday, a new post-debate CNN poll found that 75% of voters think the Democrats would have a better chance of winning in November if another candidate was at the top of the ticket.
The leaked OpenLabs polling presentation did not include data indicating the number of voters polled in New Mexico, nationally or the margin of error for either group.

Donald Trump is 3.5 years younger than Joe Biden, which when we are talking about 2 roughly 80 year old men here, there is hardly a difference in their age and Trump is a complete lunatic and basket case and can’t even show up to a courthouse and behave like a respectable and respectful adult. I’d much rather have President Biden take whatever time he wants or needs to ponder his thoughts and to think before he speaks over a childish grown man spew lies and use the same scripts over and over to brag about himself and put others down. I’d rather hire a leader with compassion and consideration for others than a cold, heartless tyrant use a political office to get revenge and unleash all of the anger that he so obviously harbors. Lets change the discussion about the debate performance to the fact that Trump did nothing but stand there and tell one lie after the next. Where are the fact-checkers? Where are the health experts to point out the fact that Trump is an overweight elderly man pushing 80 years old that eats fast food, wears diapers, wreaks like S___, frequently makes speeches and statements that make ZERO sense and has a massive amount of stress stemming from criminal proceedings, judgements owed, bankrupt businesses, covering up lie after lie after lie, having a dysfunctional marriage, 5 spoiled rotten children, and a circus of worshipers fueling his anger at all times. The audacity of the media and republican party to make Biden out to be declining due to age more than Trump is due to age, health issues, stress, and constant chaos that surrounds him, is unbelievable. Wake up America.
Well that would just be one more stupid title that NM can claim if it elects someone as dangerous for our country and a state that he has little respect for to begin with…. remember, he thought Colorado shared its southern border with Mexico. Why on earth would someone choose an angry, vindictive, crook to pave the future for themselves and their children over accepting the alternative, despite the 2-3 year age gap and fact that the elder of the two elderly men has stood on the right side of history, isn’t a racist bigot, doesn’t name call, have temper tantrums and act like a 2 year old spoiled brat, and doesn’t steal from the people that worked like dogs to help make him the multi-millionaire or “billionaire” that he claims to be. Face the facts Trump supporters, he is not who he claims to you to be, nor is he campaigning for office to help serve your interest, nor is he a Christian or Godly man, nor does the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling mean that he didn’t do all of the pathetic things that he is accused of. He is a convicted rapist. He openly cheats on his wife, including while she is pregnant with their son. He’s led multiple major businesses into bankruptcy. He owes millions upon millions in unpaid judgements and jury awards to individuals that he’s victimized and robbed of their well being (how would you like to be his victim that never saw a penny?). His childish antics belong align him with the likes of Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un. He represents the very worst of America and makes President Biden seem pretty harmless. But if you want to live under the power of a dictatorship and give up many freedoms that we’ve fought hundreds of years for, suit yourself.
