Westside City Council Districts

District 1: Louie Sanchez represents the mid-Westside district with boundaries that extend from Central Avenue to Paseo del Norte, then billow out west to the Petroglyphs. Sanchez was elected in November 2021. Here is a link to his City Council website.

District 2: Joaquín Baca represents a small snippet of the mid-south Westside from south of I-40 on the north, Coors Boulevard on the west and Central Avenue on the south. Baca was elected in November 2023. A link to his city website can be found here.

District 3:  Klarissa Peña represents the southwest part of the city. Her district has complicated boundaries from Central Avenue on the north zigzagging with Bernalillo County south and west of Coors Boulevard with a shoestring along Coors then east across Coors to south of Gun Club Road. Peña was elected in 2013. A link to her City Council website can be found here.

District 5: Dan Lewis represents the far northwest quadrant of the city from Coors Boulevard on the east, jagging southwest and north to the Sandoval County line. There is a donut hole of Bernalillo County in his district. He was elected to his most recent term in November 2021. He also served from 2009 -2017. Here is a link to his City Council website.

Bernalillo County Commission Westside districts

District 1: Barbara Baca represents the northwest side of Bernalillo County from roughly I-25 on the east, Central Avenue on the south and Cibola County on the west, Sandoval County on the north. She was elected to her second term in November 2023. A link to her county website can be found here.

District 2: Steven Michael Quezada represents the mid and southwest side of Bernalillo County from Valencia County on the south and across to the east taking in a small piece of Downtown and most of Kirtland Air Force Base. Quezada is term-limited as he has served two terms, starting in 2016. A link to the  District 2 website can be found here.
District 4: Walt Benson represents a small portion of the northwest side from Paseo del Norte north to the Sandoval County line and west of Universe Boulevard. He was elected in 2020 and is not facing a challenger in November. A link to his county website can be found here.
