A handful of City of Albuquerque offices will be closed Monday in observance of Presidents Day. Essential services will remain available and some attractions will add hours. 

Most non-essential city offices, community and child development centers and their programs, all libraries, senior centers and senior meal sites and all health and social services centers will be closed.

The Jerry Cline and Sierra Vista tennis centers, city animal shelters, and the Open Space Visitor Center will also be closed.

​​All essential city services will remain operational. Due to winter weather conditions, Albuquerque Community Safety will continue nightly transportation to shelters between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m.; those needing transportation may call 505-418-6178. 

Trash and recycling pickup will resume as usual and the 311 Community Call Center, indoor pools and golf courses will be on their usual schedules. 

ABQ Ride bus and Sun Van service will operate on a regular schedule, except for Route 157 which won’t stop at the Gibson Gate at Kirtland Air Force Base.

The holiday marks the start of Monday hours at the Albuquerque BioPark Aquarium, Botanic Garden, and Zoo. The park will be open on Mondays through early November.

Parking at meters throughout Old Town, Downtown, and Nob Hill will be free.

The University of New Mexico will be open, according to its campus calendar, as will Central New Mexico Community College.

Most banks will be closed and there will be no mail delivery. Albuquerque Public Schools will also be closed.

A spokesperson for Bernalillo County said Friday all county services are expected to be available on Monday.
