City Desk ABQ provides three ways for you to comment:

  • Use the comment form at the bottom of each story to start or join a conversation about a story we publish.
  • Use the comment form below to submit a quick comment (less than 50 words) about a new topic, or
  • Use the comment form below to submit a guest commentary or column entry (300 words or less).

Tips for submitting commentary

DO reference the original story or community activity that inspired your comment. “I read City Council proposes new zoning law at City Desk…” or “I recently saw a person sleeping in my neighborhood park and it made me think…”

DO make it personal. Explain how this issue impacts you of your neighborhood directly.

DO cite facts and give credit where it is due. Say where you get your information, such as, “According to APD’s staffing report…” Don’t make stuff up or spread misinformation. Unsourced and unverified assertions will not be published.

DON’T be mean. You can be critical without being mean. Comments that are racist, discriminatory or libelous will not be published and may result in the submitter’s being banned from future posting. Read our hate speech policy here.

Include your contact information so we can verify your authorship or check any facts.
