APD hosts law enforcement memorial on Civic Plaza
See photo story by Roberto E. Rosales
A much-lauded program manager with the city’s Violence Intervention Program — which aims to interrupt cycles of violence —has been charged with misdemeanor battery after a woman says he groped her and kissed her without her consent at a Cheba Hut last month. Reporter Bethany Raja checked in with the city to see what they had to say.
Today, the Albuquerque Police Department hosted a memorial on Civic Plaza to honor law enforcement officers who “made the ultimate sacrifice.” State and local leaders gathered to pay respects to three fallen officers. Photographer Roberto Rosales was there to capture the moment.
