It’s no secret that Albuquerque (and lots of other cities) have a homeless and housing problem but stories on the topic mostly center on Downtown and neighborhoods along East Central Avenue. 

So reporter Damon Scott took a trip across the river to look at homelessness in a part of town that sometimes feels like an afterthought in these bigger citywide stories: the Westside.

Eyes are on Santa Fe this week as the trial for Alec Baldwin kicks off. Photographer Roberto Rosales was there — along with about 60 reporters and photographers — for opening statements. 

Reporter Elizabeth McCall, meanwhile, has the details on a joint city and county initiative to make it easier to access social services.
